Shakespeare Shorts

This is your chance to use film shots, film angles, props, costumes, stage combat, lights, SFX and your acting skills to recreate your scenes from the Shakespeare play Hamlet.

Shakespeare Shorts Explained

You will be given a scene from Shakespeare's Hamlet to bring to life in front of the camera from the play we read in class. Using the film shots and film angles mentioned above, begin to create your project. All films start on a piece of paper where a group of artists, knowing their exact role, begin to create the story frame by frame. Follow the steps below and pay particular attention to the deadlines. The final presentations will be shared on YouTube and presented to a live audience in our TMS Drama Film Festival.
