Stage Combat is embedded in all of literature as far back as its origin in Greek theater. From Sophocles to Shakespeare to Mamet, conflict with armed or unarmed combat emerges as a result of dramatic tension. Realistic, safe fighting skills are required in order to make these stories more relevant and meaningful to current audiences. Technique is key in order to portray accurate stage combat.
